Mockernut Hickory (Carya tomentosa)

Stems of leaflets, rachis, often young twigs wooly hairy. 5-9 leaflets but usually 7. Medium skinned nuts split all the way to base. Puds large, gray or light brown, stick out from stem. No shaggy bark.
